Vexira Antivirus for the PowerElf II

This package provides mail server and file server antivirus protection for your PowerElf II server appliance. 

You MUST purchase this software from Greencomputer before downloading it otherwise, it will not work and all incoming and outgoing e-mail will contain messages about running in demo mode.

A special license key to activate the software is available from Greencomputer Innovation for only $525 per year.  Call us toll free at 1-877-693-7353 opt. 1 or ask your sales representative to order this package for your server.

Installation process

Once our sales staff process your order, you should receive your registration information in 2-3 business days. Once your receive your information simply follow the instructions below:

1. Access the manual update feature in the PowerElf manager.  It can be found under the "Live Update" header on the left. There should be a new package available called "powerelf-vams".  To install the new antivirus package simply type the name of the package in the box and click the "Install" button.  It will now attempt to download and install the Vexira antivirus package on your PowerElf automatically. This may take a few minutes. Please do not click anything when this is happening. For more help on manual updates see page 77 in your manual.
2. After the software has finished installing, reload the manager.  You can do this by pressing the Reload or Refresh button on your browser.  You should see the "Key Registration" link under the "Vexira Antivirus" header.  Simply copy-and-paste the information provided to you from Greencomputer in the two fields and press "Install".
3. That's it.  You can check the email headers to confirm that the antivirus is working properly.  You should see a "X-VAMS" header in incoming and outgoing email.
